"Battle of the Crux" (Chess Set), 2025 Mariia Luchuk

My newest creation — a sculptural chess set in the kurinuki technique, laid on a live-edge board with carved bark edges. Each tile resembles the clash of two ancient stones: white marble against the dark, bronze-green force of volcanic rock.
